SVTI DURING COVID-19 Part II
Wednesday, September 30, 2020While we continue to feel the pain of this pandemic, quarantine measures make it hard to continue normal operations. Businesses have endured financial losses, hence can no longer afford to keep as many employees, resulting in retrenchments and salary reductions.
As SVTI trying to keep it's employees amid the crisis, different practices and help in between the management and employees took place. Since transportation is still restricted and almost 50% of the workforce are only allowed to work, there's really a big conflict in terms of work shifts, deliveries and other random tasks or operations that needs to be done within the day. Employees volunteer to run errands by using their own motorcycles to help delivering items or submit billings and other important documents. In this way, both the management and employees benefit from each other: the employees getting work schedule and the management get to end the day successfully because the tasks were done despite transportation and manpower issue. SVTI ensures that all precautionary measures when sending employees to work especially on site are strictly implemented and all the necessary documents required by building owners are followed.
