Barrier and Turnstile

A barrier meant to stop, disable, or destroy vehicles intentionally driven into the perimeter of a protected area. These barriers may be active (movable at the push of a button) or static (permanently in a vehicle-stopping posture) and be located at gate entrances or along perimeters between vehicle access points.

Security is a rising concern in the world today. From hackers accessing valuable information to intruders threatening the safety of people and property, companies are recognizing the need for better security. To improve the physical security of buildings and facilities, one of the best options is often the use of turnstiles to control employee and visitor access.

A turnstile, also called a baffle gate or turnstyle, is a form of gate which allows one person to pass at a time. It can also be made so as to enforce one-way traffic of people, and in addition, it can restrict passage only to people who insert a coin, a ticket, a pass, or similar.

Benefits of Turnstiles Over Door

1. Improved Security

Turnstiles provide superior access control by both detecting and deterring unauthorized entries.

2. Access Control Integration

Turnstiles easily integrate with a building’s access control system.

3. Operational Flexibility

Turnstiles enhance facility operations by streamlining the entry process.

Barriers give access to numerous types of buildings, such as car parks, sports facilities, warehouses, airports, and storage areas, etc. Whether or not with controlled access, the main objective is to open and close barriers quickly and safely. The combined opening and safety sensors are used to activate the barrier opening for vehicles only and to prevent any undesired contact with vehicles or other users whilst the barrier is closing.

A vehicle barrier is meant to stop, disable, or destroy vehicles intentionally driven into the perimeter of a protected area. These barriers may be active (movable at the push of a button) or static (permanently in a vehicle-stopping posture) and be located at gate entrances or along perimeters between vehicle access points.

A boom barrier, also known as a boom gate, is a bar, or pole pivoted to allow the boom to block vehicular or pedestrian access through a controlled point.[1] Typically the tip of a boom gate rises in a vertical arc to a near vertical position. Boom gates are often counterweighted, so the pole is easily tipped. Boom gates are often paired either end to end, or offset appropriately to block traffic in both directions. Some boom gates also have a second arm which hangs 300 to 400 mm below the upper arm when lowered, to increase approach visibility, and which hangs on links so it lies flat with the main boom as the barrier is raised. Some barriers also feature a pivot roughly half way, where as the barrier is raised, the outermost half remains horizontal, with the barrier resembling an upside-down L when raised.

Advantages of parking barrier system:

  • An ideal parking barrier system ensures that vehicles can be parked and taken out safely from the parking lot.
  • With keyless parking system, the vehicle owners can easily locate their vehicles and move at ease within the parking area.
  • Traffic at peak hours can be managed with modern solutions, technologies and services. Tight security ensures that vehicles are safe and secured
  • The boom barriers can automatically detect vehicles and allow them freely.
  • It consumes less time and energy for the owners, thanks to upgraded technologies used within parking systems.
  • Parking management solution also includes exit ticket readers and decentralized payment collection system on exit. It also eases the efforts of parking traffic personnel.
  • Pilferage is more controlled and operation cost is reduced.
  • There is quick ROI and is quite convenient for both the parkers and the parking authorities.
  • Maintenance of the parking barrier system, its technologies and services can be easily maintained from time to time.
  • The technologies are quite simple to operate and it is versatile.
